Another promotional tool is that by wearing orange and supporting the Giants when they’re on the road, the supporters would be eligible to win Giants merchandise and autographed items.
The 2007- 2008 Police Tour has the main purpose of marking the band’s 30th anniversary. With the expected revenues peaking at around $340 million, it is supposed to be one of the highest grossing tours of all times. The police Tour included performances at the Grammy Awards, and Fiction Plane and The Fratellis joined them on different legs of the tour. With tickets for the tour sold out like hot cakes, The Police have decided to donate part of the ticket sales revenue to WaterAid. The first concert of the tour took place in Vancouver, in front of an audience of 22,000 die-hard fans!
